”Semi-construction” Method (Partial reconstruction)

Several football fields have been constructed many years ago so they have an aged, incomplete or damaged drainage system and poor soil substrate. The result is the sod to be continuously degraded or partly ruined especially during the winter period. In this case, the partial reconstruction method is the only fast, economical and quality solution for improving the football field. 

Application method: 

• With earthmoving equipment the old sod is removed with 10-15 cm of soil. (Figures 5.1 & 5.2) 
• The new drainage system is being installed with a specialized machine depending on the amount of rainfall in the region (there is the possibility of runoff over 20 mm per hour). (Figures 6.1 & 6.2) 
• A new specific substrate of sand with specific size of high standards is being placed. 
• The surface is flattened and the appropriate inclinations are being created with special machinery (laser). (Figure 7) 
• New sod is being placed. (Figure 8) 

The above method is priced about at the half of a general reconstruction, with very good results.
