Training center of PAOK FC - N.Mesimbria Thessaloniki

In August 2015, Paok Fc made a decision to reconstruct and unify the 2 sportfields of the first teamin N.Mesimbria training center of T1 & T2 and to expand another pitch also of their training center that was used by the K20 team in collaboration with Greentech Sod and Hellasod SA.
The works that took place for the reconstruction and unification of T1&2 training pitches were:
-De-installation of the old sod
-Installation of new irrigation system 
-Installation of new drainage system
-Installation and leveling of a new more appropriate sub-base
-Installation of new natural sod

The works that took place for the expansion of T4 training pitch were:
Excavation on the southeast side of the pitch at the area of the slope to expand the playing field and filling in the South side of the pitch 

• Compaction and the leveling of the filled area 
• Expansion of the existing irrigation system 
• Expansion of the existing drainage system with the Shelton method
• Installation and leveling of the new sub-base 
• Installation of  new sod to the expanded area

The “Olympico” sod variety that was installed to both projects is the ideal for sport field use, due to its high quality varieties of seeds mixture, following the international sport fields standards of FIFA.
This high quality sod variety was excellent resistance to intense use due to its wear tolerance and is absolutely suitable for the microclimate of the Northern Greece region.  The installation of the new sod was done using the bigroll method (sod rolls of 1,20m. width X 30 m. long).That method allows for the minimum of joints in the field (around 160). 
Once again Greentech Sod has successfully delivered the 2 projects on time and with perfect results.
